Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) has named Boyka Ognyanova, founder of Urbanistas, to the 2026 class of LEED Fellows. It is the highest recognition a LEED professional can receive.
LEED Fellow is the most prestigious designation GBCI awards. It goes to professionals with at least ten years of LEED practice who have shown expert technical knowledge and a record of leadership, teaching, service, and advocacy. Candidates are nominated by their peers, reviewed by a committee of current LEED Fellows, and approved by the GBCI Board of Directors.
Urbanistas is founded on our founder's hands-on certification work: 34 projects, 8.6M sq ft of LEED project area, and 13 LEED Platinum certifications. The LEED Fellow designation is independent confirmation of that expertise. The same judgement leads every project, course, and first read we deliver.
The 2026 class is recognized on 21 October 2026 at the USGBC Leadership Awards Celebration, held during the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo in New York City.
